Loftsails dominates the international Raceboard class with the invaluable input and expertise of top-flight competitors such as Joao Rodrigues, Patrik Pollak, and Curro Manchon. Their collaboration with Monty Spindler, Loftsails' chief sail designer, ensures continuous development and improvement of their Raceboard designs.

The Raceboardblade 9.5, a 6-batten (3-cam) sail, offers tactical flexibility on the racecourse. Positioned between the ULW and HW sails, it is specifically designed for the middle wind range, providing optimal performance and versatility.

When the wind picks up, the HW 9.5 sail truly shines. Taking inspiration from the light and durable LW variant, the panel layout has been optimized and the profile finely tuned for a 7-batten (3-cam) frame. The result is a sail that delivers impressive speed and stability in winds exceeding 16 knots.

The Raceboardblade ULW II, featuring a 5-batten (3-cam) configuration, is specifically designed to perform in lakes and light wind conditions, where most races occur. Building on the success of the original ULW in local, national, and international competitions, the new ULW II delivers enhanced profile stability, improved upwind and downwind capabilities, and superior pumping response for even better race performance.

Featuring sizes 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5, the Loftsails raceboard range is well adapted to different conditions and sailor physiques. At a glance, the main monofilm window has been enlarged and the monofilm itself is replaced with x-ply panels. This update provides better longevity/durability without affecting its weight.

The head batten has been lowered further into the sail body and given a steeper angle. This adjustment slightly firms the twist at the sail and, together with a longer luff and a new luff curve, improves performance in low and ultra-low wind conditions.

The materials used in the mast pocket have been redistributed. The amount of Dacron in the upper part has been increased, while the SU250 in the lower parts has been reduced, slightly lowering the weight distribution.

As with all past and present Loftsails designs, the entire Raceboardblade range continues to exhibit exceptional trim sensitivity.
