LOFTSAILS WELCOME DEIVIS PATERNINA

Loftsails are proud to announce that Venezuelan freestyle sensation Deivis Paternina V-04 has joined their International Team

The 23-year-old grew up in the freestyle hotbed of El Yaque and has had the best of mentoring from the likes of Loftsails team mate Diony Guadagnino, world champ Gollito and Yoli de Brendt

Paternina now has his sights set on the summit of the PWA rankings and aims to work alongside Monty Spindlerto develop the best élite-level freestyle sails for purpose.

‘I feel so happy to work with Monty Spindler’ commented Paternina. ‘I respect his unique style of working and how receptive he is to feedback from the team.

I’m loving the 2017 Airscape. I tested them in the summer and they’re super explosive and easy to use and made me really decide I wanted to join the Loftsails team.

I’m so excited about going to Tarifa to work on the next collection. It’s important to have that kind of close contact with the designer.

‘My plans for 2018 are to work with all my equipment sponsors in Europe and to train and test in Tarifa before the tour starts. Then I’ll be focused on putting in the best possible performance and achieving the highest rankings I can for my supporters and myself.

‘I’ll also spend some good time with Diony in Venezuela hunting down good conditions for all kinds of windsurfing like we do each winter.

‘There’s a lot of good things happening now so stay tuned for more news and be sure to check out the Loftsails range in the meantime. I’ve tried all of Diony’s race and wave gear too and even some freeride gear that all has the same qualities of wind range and comfort that I like so much.’
