SAIL DRAW PRIZE WINNER – CONGRATULATIONS NEIL HARDWICK!

2016’s third winner of the Loftsails Win a Sail prize draw is Neil Hardwick from the U.K.

Neil chose a SpeedBlade 5.6, which arrived on his birthday – so Happy Birthday Neil too!

‘I’ve been windsurfing for 30 years, since I was 16, spending my first wages on purchasing a second-hand board and sail.

‘In those years I’ve enjoyed learning and improving, whether it be blasting around on freeride, slalom or formula kit, on occasion wave sailing or out on my longboard racing at a local level.

‘I moved to the Wirral a few years back and this got me into speed sailing. Living only 30 minutes from West Kirby, one of the best speed sailing venues in the UK (if not the world), I had to try it and got hooked, enjoying the adrenaline rush from travelling at 40+ knots whilst being on the edge of control.

‘About a year ago I decided to learn something new and purchased a windsurf foil. That is what I like about windsurfing, there is always something to achieve or new to learn whether it be breaking your PB or trying a different move or discipline.

‘Having recently seen Loftsails in action at Weymouth Speed Week 2016, where they were placed 1st and 4th, I’m thrilled to have won a sail of my choice from them.

‘They are at the cutting edge of windsurfing sail design and have won many awards for their sails. They have a sail for every level of windsurfer in their range. meaning I was spoilt for choice when choosing my sail.

‘But given Loftsails SpeedBlade range has achieved 50+ knots, it should come as no surprise that I requested a 5.6m SpeedBlade.

‘I’m certain to break my PBs and may even see the magical 50 knots on my GPS. Thank you Loftsails’
