WHY DON’T LOFTSAILS PRODUCE MAST EXTENSIONS AND BOOMS ANYMORE?

Up until 2015, Loftsails produced dedicated carbon race booms, aluminium booms and a range of mast extensions and bases.

When new management took over the running of the brand they decided the range was a bit ‘generic’ and not of the specialist, unique quality that you might expect from Loftsails in relation to their dedicated racing and competition-level sails and high-performance freeride, freestyle and wave sailing products.

TARIFA APPROVED

So until new, genuinely unique and specialist items are approved by both the core test group in Tarifa and the pro rider team, only the high quality mast program accompanies the sail range in the Loftsails collection.

Since Loftsails partnered with Equipe Trading, the group that also manufacture Unifiber Windsurfing Accessories, the test team in Loftsails’ spiritual home and development base in Tarifa have largely used Unifiber boom, bases and extensions as they refine the sail and mast product lines and will continually review proposals and prototypes for new booms and rig components
